WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER A PRIVATE DENTIST

April 20, 2019

My experience from the first time I walked through the door has been extremely positive and my teeth have not looked or been this good for many years. My recent treatment (a crown) was carried out with the utmost care and skill and looks great.

WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER A PRIVATE DENTIST

When choosing a dentist, most patients automatically seek out NHS practices… but, have you ever considered a private dentist and the benefits that come with it? Here are five reasons why you should consider private dentistry.

One Continuity

Often within NHS dentistry, it is considered a luxury to see the same dentist each time you visit, but within a private practice, this is the norm! This allows you to build a great rapport with your dentist and gives continuity of care as they (literally) know your mouth inside and out! It also gives you peace of mind, knowing each time you visit; you will see the same dentist who caters to your specific needs.

Two Care

One thing many of our patients report after experiencing NHS treatment is feeling rushed through their appointments. Within our practice, we pride ourselves in giving our patients the time they deserve. This is one of the bonuses to not having targets to meet; it allows our primary focus to be our patients care. We can, therefore, afford the luxury of longer appointment times to discuss treatment options in depth, any concerns you may have and to carry out treatment to the highest of standards.

Three Range of treatment and Services

Often within NHS the services and treatments available to patients are restricted to those required to maintain adequate oral health.  Within a private practice we are able to offer a wider range of services, from cosmetic tooth alignment to Botox, which would simply not be available on the NHS.

We are also able to provide many services ‘in house’, which the NHS would need to refer you elsewhere to undergo treatment, for example, specialist endodontic treatment. This eliminates the need for you to go between practices or spend your valuable time searching for where you can get your desired treatment carried out.

Four Top of the range equipment

As you are more than likely aware, there is a price difference between NHS dentistry and private, however, this allows us to use the best materials possible for treatment and state of the art technology.

How does this benefit me, you may ask? Well, it allows us to give you the best quality treatment possible, rather than settling for adequate, but also allows us to give you the most comfortable experience possible. For example, many patients struggle at even the thought of having impressions taken, they’re uncomfortable, messy and some patients simply can’t handle them. Our iTero scanner eliminates the need for impressions. Instead, we take a digital copy of your teeth which is then sent directly to our lab. Allowing you to sit back, relax and have a comfortable dental experience.

Five a personal Touch

We pride ourselves in making your dental experience as personal as possible. Our reception team take the time to chat to our patients prior to appointments and offering complimentary refreshments. We provide free toothbrushes and toothpaste for those patients who like to ‘freshen up’ before their appointments.

The dentist will come out to personally greet you and introduce themselves on your first appointment to start your dental journey. They will also tailor your treatment plan not only to include the treatment required for dental health but also to include any steps needed in order to reach your dream smile.
