COSMETIC DENTISTRY – WHAT IS IT AND WHAT’S INVOLVED?

Here at Riverside Dental we carry out routine and cosmetic dentistry for a range of patients to a very high standard.

What is Cosmetic Dentistry?

Cosmetic dentistry is the art of making a tooth or teeth visually look better, thereby enhancing the smile and improving patient’s confidence no end.

What does it involve?

There are many different cosmetic treatment options. Just one tooth can be treated or most of the teeth depending on the patient’s wishes. This includes, but not limited to:

• Teeth Whitening
• Cosmetic Tooth Bonding
• Teeth Contouring & Camouflaging
• Crowns, Bridges and Veneers
• Dental Implant(s)
• Full mouth or Partial Dentures
• Clear Braces

Each patient’s clinical situation will differ and, therefore, so will their diagnosis and treatment plan. At Riverside Dental, each patient will receive their own bespoke treatment plan in order to ensure their goals and expectations are met. This is why we need to see each patient for a thorough consultation prior to advising on what their options are.

Who Can Have it?

Patients of all ages can have cosmetic dentistry performed, as there are so many different options available depending on your final goal. The most important factor is to ensure that the teeth and gums are healthy and functional first before embarking on cosmetic work. This may mean that you need fillings and hygiene therapy prior to commencing cosmetic treatment.

What does it cost?

As previously explained the range of treatment options are extensive and therefore each patients treatment cost will vary greatly depending on what they are having done. Yes of course. In addition to cosmetically trained dentists, we also have Hygienists, Oral Surgeons and Root Canal Experts. In addition we have an on-site dental laboratory, which means we can turn around certain treatments faster than some other practices.
